Week 13!!!

Heyyy!

What a crazy week… and a half hour to write it all!!
Our 2 investigators: A* and R* are good to go, and are interviewed and excited to be baptized one the 28th! Wanna come? Ok. :) WE ARE SO PUMPED! R* is honestly one of the coolest people I have ever met. A* has changed four trillion percent and is a different person. It's crazy! I love them so Much! Pictures next weeeeekkk!! :)

Khamphiane is just the greatest, we teach her English so she can understand the gospel lessons better and so she can get the help she needs… let me tell you what kinda headache comes after you try to teach someone who speaks Lao and then you switch to Spanish and then French. Advil Advil Advil. BUT HOW COOL IS THAT RIGHT?! I LOVE how diverse it is here. It's the best.

We went on exchanges this last week. Exchanges are always so great. I always learn a ton! On this exchange I was with Sister Smith, who goes home next Tuesday!! Crazy, right?! That day is never coming for me I'm pretty sure. At least that's what it feels like… I can't even imagine!! We knocked so many doors, placed over 10 books of Mormon, got yelled at 2 times and ate stuffing from 2015. It was gross… I don't recommend it... but overall it was such a great exchange and it's so fun to meet people who aren't in your area!! We met this girl named Tiffany, she was so excited to see us. She's 18 and was like "HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE LUMINEERS?! I was like… "HAVE I HEARD OF THEM? I LOVE THEM!!!" She was going to their concert that night and was so excited that someone loved them like she did. She was so cute. I was so sad I was only there for a day; I would have loved to teach her!!

We had this huge hug of a warm day on Saturday. We got in the car and it said 70 DEGREES. We're pretty sure that's wrong, but it was at least 60 all day, and sunny… It's never been sunnier! We went to pick up Khamphiane and she was so excited. Everyone was out running. I bet Elgin is GORGEOUS in the summer time. We made a stop by to Yelisvet Alvarado home with her kids and I LOVE THEM. Jennifer always sees me and runs up and gives me the hugest hug. I don't know why, but I have this click with Hispanic kids... I have a squad. S. PETERSON is always like "idk what it is but all these Mexican kids love you." Rogelio, Leo, Jennifer, Joey... it's going to break my heart when I have to leave them. It's made me realize how bad I want to go on a humanitarian trip somewhere like that. I love these kids!!! I'll have to take a picture with all of them before I leave.

This week I have been studying prayer and prophets. I love Thomas S. Monson, and Gordon B. Hinckley is the man! I love how this gospel really is a plan of HAPPINESS. That's why it's here! There is always hope. Our Father in heaven loves us so much that he provided a way to get back to him, all we have to do is our best!!! HOW EXCITING! THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE! The Saviors table is never too small to hold your mistakes, and you cannot sink deeper than his light shines. I love it. I love sharing this gospel with these people who I love so much. I know this church is true. I would be a lost cause without it! I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now. Love and miss you all!!! The church is true. I challenge you all to post your testimony of one specific thing… share it with a friend, or write it in your journal. Everyone deserves to hear the happiness that can come through Christ!

Love, S. BAIR ❤
